Our Training Philosophy

Strength is about more than what you can lift.

It’s about what happens when you realize you’re capable of more than you thought.

At Crown Strength, we believe strength training should do more than build muscle and support strong bones. It should help you feel capable, confident, and at home in your own body.

Because when you get stronger, something else happens, too.

You start trusting yourself.

You take on things that once felt intimidating. You discover that being challenged doesn’t mean you have to be perfect—it means you get to practice, learn, and grow.

That’s the power of strength.

Strength Training With Purpose

Strength training should have a purpose beyond simply lifting heavier weights.

We train to build and maintain muscle, support strong bones, improve physical capacity, and help you feel more capable and confident in your body.

That means choosing the right movements, the right amount of challenge, and the right progression for you.

It also means understanding that more isn’t always better. A workout doesn’t have to leave you exhausted to be effective. The goal is to challenge your body enough to adapt, then give it the opportunity to recover and come back stronger.

My goal is to make weightlifting feel approachable, comfortable, accessible, meaningful, and purposeful—whether you’re new to strength training or have been lifting weights for years.

Build Up. Don’t Just Crush.

I believe training should build you up, not constantly break you down.

Especially in midlife, your training needs to work with your life—not compete with it.

We pay attention to how you’re feeling, what else is going on in your life, how you’re recovering, and what your body is ready for that day.

Some days we push. Some days we modify.

Progress isn’t always a straight line. There will be days when you feel strong and days when you need to adapt. That’s part of the process.

The goal isn’t to prove how much you can endure. It’s to build your capacity, confidence, and trust in yourself so you can keep showing up.

Your Body Is Changing. Your Training Can Change With It.

Midlife can bring changes in muscle, body composition, recovery, strength, and bone health that can feel frustrating or unfamiliar.

I know that experience personally.

My own experience, combined with my education and continued learning from leading experts in women’s health and performance, has shaped the way I approach training women through this stage of life.

There isn’t one perfect way to train. There is the right place to start for you—and a thoughtful path forward as you become stronger, more capable, and more confident.

Training Is More Than the Hour We Spend Together

What happens outside of your training sessions matters, too.

Your body needs adequate fuel and recovery to support the work you’re asking it to do. That doesn’t mean following a restrictive diet or trying to eat perfectly. It means understanding the basics and making choices that support your goals, energy, training, and overall well-being.

Nutrition and recovery may come up as part of our conversations, and I’m happy to offer practical guidance and resources when they can support your progress.

Because strength isn’t built in one hour.

It’s built through what you practice, what you repeat, and how you support yourself along the way.

Claim Your Crown.

Crown Strength isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about becoming more of who you are—stronger, more capable, and more confident in your body.

It’s about making time for yourself, investing in your own strength and well-being, and remembering that taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It’s essential.

You don’t have to be the strongest person in the room. You don’t have to be perfect.

Some days you’ll push, and other days you’ll adapt—but every time you show up and do what you can, you’re building strength, confidence, and trust in yourself.

Build strength. Build confidence.
